SPRING Technologies opens a new SPRING ACADEMY training centre close to its automotive and aeronautic customers on the west side of Paris
SPRING Technologies, a major player on the PLM and NCSIMUL SOLUTIONS markets, announces the opening of a new SPRING ACADEMY training centre in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines (78). The site in the western suburb of Paris thus become's the 8th site in France, Switzerland and Germany to deliver training on the market's leading CAD/CAM/PLM software. SPRING Technologies is France's leading independent training organisation in this field.
The SPRING ACADEMY training department was founded in 1992 in response to demand from SPRING Technologies customers. Today, some 2,000 users are trained each year in Montreuil, Nantes, Toulouse, Lyon, Geneva, Frankfurt, Munich and Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
Olivier Bellaton, Managing Director of SPRING Technologies, gives his point of view: “We have always been aware of the importance of quality and productivity and we are attentive to our customers' needs. They need training, which enables them to optimize and validate the skills of their users, for CAD/CAM and PDM solutions, etc. We have chosen to locate the new site on the west side of Paris to get closer to our customers in the automotive and aeronautical industries, many of whom are based in the region, and who are sure to appreciate having our training services close to hand.”
SPRING ACADEMY: customised training methods
The SPRING Technologies training centre built its reputation on an original educational approach focusing on two key points: complete course material, clear and easy to use; credible examples taken from the industrial environment. The company organises “turnkey” courses factoring in the company's existing skills and needs, in addition to standard “courses”. In both cases trainees benefit from the multi-system skills of the team's training staff.
Irrespective of the software, courses are all based on a common 5-stage plan:
• An audit, enabling a clear definition of the goals of the mission.
• The choice of parts and a break down into the main families.
• An analysis of the trainee's work position.
• Production of a methodological guide enabling users to get a quick overview of the “step by step” design approach.
• Adaptation of the training sessions to match user profiles and secure their interest.
SPRING ACADEMY offers courses on CATIA V4 and V5, Pro/ENGINEER, CADDS5, UG NX, IDEAS NX, Windchill, VPM, SMARTEAM and SAP. The department has been awarded ISO 9001 version 2000 certification.
Migration support
Migration to a CAD system typically means defining new working methods, ensuring that existing project data can still be used and providing appropriate user training. In all these fields, SPRING ACADEMY brings its long experience of the market's leading CAD/PLM, enriched by its presence in many sectors of the industrial environment.
SPRING Technologies provides further support to migration projects through its know-how in IT and data exchange, in addition to its ability to offer custom developments based on the leading market solutions.
